Jennifer’s Dance Center strives to create a safe inclusive environment where student’s lives are enriched through professional dance instruction, empowered with self esteem, motivation and leadership skills. We put a strong focus on our dancers and their families attaining a life long appreciation for the arts.



Jennifer Bielema, Owner/Director of Jennifer’s Dance Center, grew up surrounded by dance. Her mother, Colleen Kosier, has been teaching dance for over 30 years. Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Commercial Studio Dance from Illinois State University. As a student she was a member of the Illinois State University Dance Theatre and was chosen to dance, as well as showcase her own choreography, at the American College Dance Festival. She has won multiple choreography awards and top honors at regional and national dance competitions. She established Jennifer’s Dance Center in 1998 in Morrison IL. The studio offers ballet, pointe, jazz, clogging, Irish, tumble and contemporary disciplines for students ages 3 through adult.


Kristi Huizenga: Office Manager. Kristi became the JDC office manager in the 2000-2001 dance season. Kristi not only handles the office duties, she also measures and alters costumes, designs and orders the studio dance wear, orders and fits our dance shoes, heads up all our fundraising, composes and posts newsletters, compiles all our competition & convention material as well manufactures props with her husband Tom. Our studio is efficient and family friendly because of Kristi’s talent and commitment to success.
